I’m trying to understand whether there’s any genuinely workable approach for a one-minute chart, rather than just attractive arrows in hindsight. I’m looking at binary options strategies for 1-minute timeframes and currently testing everything only on a demo account. It seems to work reasonably well on historical data, but when I open a live chart, the candles start jumping around, and the signal often changes literally within a few seconds.
I’ve tried using the five-minute chart to identify the direction and looking for entries on the one-minute chart, but I still haven’t figured out how to filter out the periods before news releases and sharp moves. I’ve also noticed that after two successful trades, I start rushing and entering without a clear signal—so it seems that psychology is getting in the way more than the strategy itself. How do you test strategies like these: only on historical data, or do you always collect statistics on a demo account? And what signs immediately tell you that it’s better not to take a one-minute entry? Marker 8da78dad9d
