Who actually looks at binary options strategy rankings, and what can you really rely on there?

I've been sitting here for the second evening in a row mulling over the same question: is a binary options strategy ranking actually useful, or is it mostly for show? I've come across a few of these lists, but they all seem too neat: one strategy supposedly has perfect performance, another is full of nice-sounding words, but in practice it's unclear what was tested and over what period.

I've tried several versions myself on demo, and the picture is different every time, especially when the market behaves a bit more aggressively. Some setups hold up reasonably well over short stretches, others fall apart almost immediately. So I can't figure out which ranking to even look at - by reviews, by statistics, by personal testing, or whether all of that just needs to be filtered out and turned into my own list. How do you choose strategies for yourself, what do you actually look at? And is there any point in trusting such rankings if everyone has different conditions and trading style?
I wouldn’t trust rankings blindly: often, “looks” matter more than a real sample. I only look at drawdown, the test period, and how the strategy behaves in a sideways market — the rest is junk. In the end, my own demo is what matters.
