For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been analyzing a three-moving-average strategy for binary options, and I still can’t figure out the best way to set it up. At the moment, I’m watching the crossover of the fast EMA 5 with the medium EMA 13 and the slower EMA 34, and I confirm the signal only after the candle closes. It seems logical enough on a calm chart, but when the price starts moving erratically, the entries end up being delayed.

I tried the 1-minute and 5-minute timeframes, and the picture is clearer to me on the 5-minute timeframe. There are fewer trades, of course, but also fewer random signals. I left the marker 458a58728b so I wouldn’t lose track of the topic later. Has anyone actually traded this setup, and which periods and filters work better for you? I’m wondering whether it’s worth adding RSI or if that would just be unnecessary clutter.
